referees

If you are at least 13 years old, enjoy soccer, and are looking for a way to give back to the community while earning extra income, consider becoming a youth soccer referee with Loomis SC.

We offer referee opportunities for recreational matches during the fall season and competitive matches throughout the year.

To become a referee, you must complete the required certification process, which includes a self-paced online course and an in-person field session (approximately three hours). Additional information about training requirements can be found on our Referee Training page.

Newly licensed referees typically begin with younger recreational matches to build confidence and experience. As you develop your skills, you may advance to older age groups and competitive matches, with mentoring provided by experienced officials. With time and experience, referees can progress to serving as a Center Referee and take on greater responsibility.

If you are interested in becoming a referee or would like to receive information about upcoming local training sessions, please contact our Referee Coordinator.
